Title

Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Revisions to County Council Procedural Rules.

Recommended Action

I move that the Council approve the additions and modifications to its procedural rules as outlined in Attachment A.

Body

The County Council routinely reviews and modifies its parliamentary rules. Attachment A includes recommendations for several additions and several modifications to existing rules. These changes are proposed in order to clarify councilor responsibilities.

Alternatives

The council could choose to not modify its existing rules or alternately could assign the Rules Committee to review the attached document and bring forth the Committee's own recommendation for any suggested modifications.

Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item

There are no anticipated impacts as the suggested modifications are limited to how Council members conduct themselves.
