Body
On August 3, 2017, David Fox submitted a petition on behalf of 8 people, at least 5 of whom are registered voters of Los Alamos County, requesting that Los Alamos County Council assign to the Transportation Board the evaluation of NM126 highway's current status, estimated costs of its completion, and the extent of outreach needed to develop support of other affected counties and entities in order to build regional support, and the extent of public support in Los Alamos for such a project. Mr. Fox submitted background information as part of his request. This information is contained in Attachment A.
As further background information, two letters of support are shown in Attachments B and C. These letters, dated September 2015, are from then-Council Chair Kristin Henderson and then-Transporation Board Chair Randall Ryti to the New Mexico Department of Transportation respectfully requesting consideration to complete paving of the last eight miles of NM 126.
