Title
Ratifying Previous Council Action and approving Amendment No.4 to Agreement 14-4075, Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization Home-Based Care Services.
Recommended Action
I move that Council ratify and approve Amendment No.4 to Agreement 14-4075, Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization Home-Based Care Services, to reflect the FY17 funding add-on of $27,441 and the FY18 funding add-on of $27,441.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council ratify their previous action and approve this Amendment No. 4 as requested.
Body
During the FY17 budget cycle, County Council approved add-ons of $27,441 to Agreement 14-4075, Los Alamos Retired and Seniors Organization Home-Based Care Services, for FY17. The intent of this decision was to also increase the funding for FY18, and this increased amount was similarly approved during the FY18 budget hearings. In FY17, this increased funding for these services from $27,441 to $54,882 and in FY18 this increased funding for the services to $55,441. Although these budget add-ons have assisted the Organization to meet increasing demands for Home-Based Care Services at the Betty Ehart and White Rock Senior Centers, they were made outside the scope of the Organization’s original proposed services. Staff did execute an amendment to the original agreement (Amendment #2) subsequent to Council's budget increase for FY17, yet upon further review the proposed action will be a more appropriate means to address this issue. The ratification action this evening will resolve the issue of these additional services falling outside of the contracted services under Agreement 14-4075 and allows implementation of these added services to continue under a new Amendment No.4, which is attached.
Alternatives
If Council’s previous action from May 2, 2016 is not ratified and Amendment No.4 is not approved, the funding add-ons approved by Council will not proceed for FY18. Los Alamos Retired and Senior Orga...
