Recommended Action
I nominate and appoint the following individuals to the Personnel Board:
1. Bernadine Goldman [D], new appointment
2. Laurance Warner [R], new appointment
3. Leslie Geyer [D], reappointment
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill two current vacancies on the Personnel Board and one re-appointment to the Personnel Board. There are currently four vacancies on this five-person board.
1. Bernadine Goldman has applied for a current vacancy on the Personnel Board. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Christeanne Goodey. This appointment would be to complete the term which is to expire March 31, 2019.
2, Laurance Warner has applied for a current vacancy on the Personnel Board. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Beth Honea. This appointment would be to complete the term which is to expire March 31, 2020.
3. Leslie Geyer is currently on the Personnel Board. Her term is scheduled to expire on March 31, 2018. Ms. Geyer is eligible and has re-applied for another term of three years.
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.
This five member board has three-year terms beginning April 1st and ending March 31st. It is currently composed as follows: Terry Priestley [ I ] .
Appointing any of the nominees will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
