Incorporated County of Los Alamos Resolution No. 18-13 Endorsing the North Central Regional Transit District’s (NCRTD) FY2019 Budget Proposal, Approval of the FY2019 Los Alamos County Regional Transit Plan and Directing Staff to Submit the FY2019 Los Alamos County Regional Transit Plan to the North Central Regional Transit District Board of Directors for Consideration and Approval.
Recommended Motion
I move that the County Council approve Resolution No. 18-13 Endorsing the North Central Regional Transit District’s FY2019 budget proposal, approving the FY2019 Los Alamos County Regional Transit Plan and directing staff to submit the FY2019 Los Alamos County Regional Transit Plan to the North Central Regional Transit District Board of Directors.

Body
The North Central Regional Transit District has proposed Regional Transit Gross Receipts Tax allocation to Los Alamos County for FY 2019 (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2019) in the amount of $1,466,600. This represents an increase of $22,100 (1.0%) over the FY 2018 allocation. Additional language has been added to Resolution No. 18-13 limiting the reimbursements to the first two quarters of the fiscal years and additional reimbursements dependent on the outcome of the award of the Los Alamos National Laboratory operating contract and its potential impact upon private taxable activities and the subsequent generation of the regional transit gross receipts tax.

These funds are used to support the Transit Division budget with ongoing operating funding for NCRTD-funded routes and capital funding toward the local match of buses and bus facilities, as well as other capital projects that are consistent with regional public transportation services.
