Recommended Action
I move that Council approve a grant of utility easement within Tract G-A, of Tract G, a subdivision of Eastern Area No. 3. I further move that Council approve a vacation of utility easement within Tract G-A, of Tract G, a subdivision of Eastern Area No. 3.
Utilities Manager Recommendation
Utilities Manager recommends that Council grant and vacation the easements as presented.
Body
This public utility easement is being granted for the purpose of replacing a waterline in the property. The replacement waterline will be placed in this new easement to avoid cutting the property owner's paved parking lot and to lessen the disruption to the owner.
The easement being vacated by this document is no longer needed. The waterline that is in the easement has been abandoned and a new waterline will replace it in a new alignment.
Alternatives
If the easement is not accepted, the replacement waterline will be installed in the existing alignment.
If the vacation of easement is not approved, the encumbrance will remain on the property.
