Consideration of Establishment of Save As You Throw Subcommittee
Recommended Action
I move that Council approve the establishment of the Save As You Throw Research Subcommittee (SAYT), which shall report to the Environmental Sustainability Board and furthermore, the SAYT Research Subcommittee shall sunset on April 2, 2020.
Body
During the February 21, 2019 Environmental Sustainability (ESB) Meeting, the Board approved the formation of the Save As You Throw Research Subcommittee with a 6-0 vote. The purpose of the SAYT Research Subcommittee is to research tiered rate structures for Los Alamos County residential solid waste services, gather public input regarding a tiered rate structure and provide a recommendation to the Environmental Sustainability Board. The SAYT Research Subcommittee shall be comprised of three ESB members.
