The ESB will review and discuss the June 2019 Residential Sustainability Report. The data now includes more data and graphs that will demonstrate overall diversion as a result of the new yard trimming program which began on July 9, 2018. The yard trimming program has been in place for 11 months.
Most recent additions to the report include greenhouse gas emissions reduced by recycling and composting.
The yard trimming has been voluntarily embraced by the community, with support from 59% or 4,092 households. Currently each household is limited to one cart per household to ensure each household has the ability to participate in the yard trimming program.
