Recommended Action
I move that all applicants be nominated for the Los Alamos Health Council and that Council appoint the 15 nominees to fill the respective terms as indicated on Attachment M.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill up to 15 vacancies on the recently created Los Alamos County Health Council (LACHC) Board. Per the Council-approved resolution, the LACHC shall represent a broad spectrum of interests and who represent diverse community interests. The resolution calls for up to 15 members, we received 17 applications. However, due to residency requirements, of the 17 applicants only 11 are eligible to be appointed to the LACHC board for staggered terms. We will encourage the non-residents to still participate and attend the LACHC meetings as community members. We will also continue to actively recruit members to the LACHC board until we have 15 members. The applicants for this position are as follows, and represent the indicated categories:
