Recommended Action
I move that Council approve the amendment to the FY20 Compensation and Classification Plan and the amended Security/Administrative Services Manager Job Description.

The County Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as requested.
Body
The Fire Department has made changes to the previous Safeguard and Security/Labor Relations Manager job description with the planned retirement of the incumbent. The changes include the addition of oversight of administrative services, the removal of lead labor negotiation duties along with a title change to Security/Administrative Services Manager. The job description has been re-evaluated, it is recommended the job description now be graded at a Grade 212, ($81,311 - $119,862) FLSA Exempt. Previously, the Safeguard and Security/Labor Relations Manager job description was a Grade 214 ($89,646 - $132,149) FLSA Exempt.
Alternatives
Council could choose to not approve the amendment to the FY20 Compensation and Classification Plan.
