Recommended Action
I nominate Anna Dillane, Kyle Wheeler, and John Gustafson to fill two (2) current vacancies on the Community Development Advisory Board.

I move that Council appointment two (2) of the nominees to the two (2) current vacant positions:

By roll call vote, Councilors vote for two (2) nominees, and the two (2) nominees with the highest vote total of at least four votes will be appointed to fill CDAB terms ending August 14, 2022.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill the vacancies (currently two) of the Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB).

CDAB is composed of seven (7) members, terms are for 36 months and Representatives may serve up to two terms. Terms expire on August 14 of the year in which the term expires. The two (2) board member vacancies expire August 14, 2022. Of the five (5) currently filled board member positions three (3) expire on August 14, 2020 and two (2) expire on August 14, 2022.

Three (3) applications were received and all three (3) applicants appeared for interview: Anna Dillane (D), Kyle Wheeler (D), and John Gustafson (Declined to State).

The interview panel consisted of Councilor Antonio Maggiore, Council liaison to CDAB, CDAB Chair Aaron Walker, Community Development Department (CDD) Building Safety Manager Michael Arellano and County Staff Liaison to CDAB Andrew Harnden. The panel recommended applicants Anna Dillane (D) and John Gustafson (DTS) to be forwarded to Council for consideration as CDAB members - with Terms to expire August 14, 2022.

Appointing one (1) applicant with political affiliation registered as (D) Democrat and one (1) registered as (DTS) Declined to State will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
