Recommended Action
I nominate and move that council appoint Kelly Dolejsi for re-appointment to the Library Board and Alee Ali and John Nash for appointment to the Library Board for a term beginning on September 1, 2020 and ending on August 31, 2022.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill three vacancies on the Library Board.
The applicants for these positions are:
Alee Ali (DTS)
Kelly Dolejsi (D)
John Gustafson (L)
John Nash (D)
John Gustafson withdrew his application before interviews were held to allow new applicants to serve. The remaining applicants were interviewed by an interview committee on September 28, October 2, or October 6, 2020.The interview committee consisted of the following: Library Board Chair: Rebecca Rodriguez; Council Liaison: Katrina Martin; and Library Board Staff Liaison: Eileen Sullivan. The interview committee recommends re-appointing Kelly Dolejsi and appointing Alee Ali and John Nash.
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.
This five-member board has 2 year terms and is currently composed as follows:

Appointment of all three nominees will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions
