Recommended Action
I move that Council reappoint Michael Altherr to fill one of four vacancies on the Transportation Board that will expire on February 28, 2026.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill one vacancy on the Transportation Board. The applicant Michael Altherr is seeking reappointment for a second term.
This seven-member board has staggered two-year terms beginning March 1 and ending February 28. The current Transportation Board Member Roster is shown on Attachment A.
The interview panel is recommending appointment of the following applicants:

The nominees party affiliation has been verified with the Clerk's Office.
Mr. Altherr was interviewed by an interview committee on February 13, 2024. The interview committee recommends appointing both applicants.
The interview committee consisted of the following:
Council Liaison: Melanee Hand
Board Vice Chair: David Hampton
Public Works Director: Juan Rael
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote. Appointing Mr. Altherr will not violate the party affiliation rule.
