Recommended Action
I move that Council approve AGR24-959 with Advanced Network Management (ANM) in the amount of $1,496,046.19, plus applicable gross receipts tax, for purchase and configuration of network switches.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve AGR24-959 as presented.
Body
The network switches will replace old, end of life switches servicing all County facilities, except for Pajarito Cliffs site and the Judicial Complex as those switches were replaced in 2023. The replacement switches shall benefit the upcoming broadband project by facilitating network interconnectivity and by minimizing switch failures. The new switches allow for expanded use of fiber media.
The total expenditure includes equipment, software, licenses, and a professional services component for configuration.
This purchase utilizes ANM's Contract with New Mexico Statewide Price Agreement, Contract #20-00000-21-00010AB as the procurement method.
Alternatives
Council could not approve this agreement and Los Alamos County would continue to utilize old, aging, and end of life network switches.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Funds have been allocated within the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) budget for this replacement project.
