Title

Final Report from Nuisance Code Implementation Review Task Force

Body

This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Nuisance Code Implementation Review Task Force (NCIRTF) to the County Council, as mandated by County Council Resolution 19-23. Formed in response to concerns surrounding the adoption of the Nuisance Code in December 2022, the NCIRTF was charged with assessing its implementation and effectiveness.

The NCIRTF acknowledges the responsibility of the Community Development Department (CDD) for the enforcement of the Nuisance Code. Throughout its proceedings, the NCIRTF received full cooperation and support from the CDD, for which it expresses gratitude.

Comprising five citizen members appointed by the County Council, the NCIRTF operated within a one-year term, which was extended until May 21, 2024. This report provides an overview of the NCIRTF's activities, observations, and recommendations regarding the implementation of the Nuisance Code.
