Debrief on Climate Action Presentation to County Council

At the March 5, 2024, Los Alamos County Council meeting, Cascadia Consulting Group (Cascadia) provided an update on the Climate Action Plan (CAP). Items discussed included an update on the development process, results from analyses, discussions on proposed targets to reduce greenhouse emissions, and an outline for next steps in the CAP process, including the upcoming community workshop on April 2, 2024. Cascadia provided the results of the sector-based greenhouse gas inventory for the community and the County government that were used to inform the CAP strategies and actions. Cascadia also provided budget options for Council consideration in the FY25 budget process.
This purpose of this item is for members to debrief the outcome of the meeting and discuss general Council or public feedback.
