Title

Barranca Mesa Art Project Installation Discussion and Possible Action

Recommended Action

I move that the Board move forward with a Call for Art on Barranca Mesa to commemorate the homesteaders.

Body

"During the April 25th APP meeting, David Hampton presented an idea to request a call for art for an art installation and plaque to commemorate the homesteaders who were removed from Barranca Mesa when the Manhattan Project started. He suggested one of two locations: the corner of Navajo Road & Barranca Road or the entrance of Deer Trap Trail Head, possibly in cooperation with the Historical Board. The theme would be 'Healing'."
