Title

Art Maintenance Contract Amendment

Recommended Action

Providing this action complies with the County Procurement rules, I move that we amend AGR22-63 with Pacific Coast Conservation to increase the not-to-exceed contract amount by $___________.

Body

Due to the current condition of a few of the outdoor sculptures in the Public Art Collection, APPB will soon need to make decisions regarding high maintenance costs to fix these identified pieces.  The term for the current maintenance contract with Pacific Coast Conservation is through June 14, 2029, and has a not-to-exceed amount of $200,000 for the entire term of the contract.  We are currently in year three of the contract and $88,695.16 has been expended, leaving $111,304.84 available through June 2029.  The maintenance costs to repair/restore the identified sculptures could cause the amount of the contract to run out before the end of the contract term.  It may be possible to amend the contract, increasing the not-to-exceed amount to specifically address the special repair service costs in Section A(7) “On-Call Cleaning and Repairs”.
