Recommended Action
I move that Council nominate and appoint Sonia Ruiz to fill the lodging representative vacancy on the Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board with the term December 2, 2024 to December 1, 2027.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill one vacancy on the Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board. Per New Mexico Statutes Annotated1978, § 3-38-22, the Membership of Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board has five members: Two members who own or operate lodgings in the unincorporated area of the county, two members who own or operate industries in the unincorporated area of the county that serve tourists, and one member who represents the general public and is a resident of the unincorporated area of the county.
Ms. Ruiz could fill the vacancy for a lodging representative.
The vacancy represents an unexpired term vacated by Trevor Shuman, which ends on December 1, 2025.
