Election of Officers normally occurs annually the first meeting of the year. However, the nomination and appointment of Vice-Chair did not take place during the January 2025 Personnel Board meeting and the February, March, April, May, June, July, and August Personnel Board meetings were canceled due to a lack of agenda items.
The Boards & Commissions Rules indicate that each Board shall annually elect a Chair and Vice-chair from among its members. The Chair and Vice-Chair will serve at the pleasure of the Board and will be eligible for election to subsequent terms.
The Chair shall call for nominations. The nominee must accept the nomination, followed by Board comments, and then a vote.
