Body
On March 27, 2024, the County entered into Agreement 24-956 with Dismuke Construction Company to implement Asphalt Rubber Crack Sealing on Bituminous Pavement in furtherance of the County’s pavement preservation program.
This project will enhance the durability and maintain the service life and Pavement Condition Index (PCI) of several roadways in both White Rock and Los Alamos townsite. Streets scheduled for crack sealing in White Rock include Longview Dr, Bonnie Dr, Aztec Ave, Agate St, Fort Union Ave, Bandelier Ave, Carlsbad Ave, Santolina, El Morro, Berle St, Connie Ave, Verbena, Aster, Yarrow, and Lantana. While the following streets scheduled for crack sealing in Los Alamos townsite include Sioux St, Seminole St, Cheyenne St, Yuma St, Ute St, Iroquois St, Broadview Drive, Tiffany Ct, Kristi Lane, Estates Drive, Mountain View Place, Copper Place, and Scotts Way.
Alternatives
Council may choose not to approve the task order which could lead to postponing or canceling the project resulting in continued roadway deterioration and higher future repair costs.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Funds for this effort were programmed as part of the annual budget and are budgeted and available in the Traffic & Streets Pavement Preservation Fund.
