Body

On June 17,2024, the County received correspondence from the New Mexico Department of Transportation soliciting applications that provides funding assistance for street improvements to municipalities through the state of New Mexico Municipal Arterial Program (MAP). Funds awarded through MAP are distributed statewide, are limited, and must be expended within the FY25 construction season.

For Fiscal Year 2025, the NMDOT awarded Los Alamos County a combined amount of $153,333, comprised of $115,000 (75% State Share) and $38,333 (25% County match).

These funds will be utilized to offset the Diamond Drive Pavement Preservation Project, a project scheduled for rehabilitation through the Public Works Traffic and Streets Pavement Preservation budget.
