Title

Department of Public Utilities Quarterly Report for Fiscal Year 2025 - Quarter 3

Body

The Board requested that the quarterly report be presented each quarter that shows the status of the utility and provides project updates. Compiled by Public Relations Manager Cathy D'Anna, this report is for the third quarter of FY2025, covering the months of January, February and March.

Highlights from the report:

Page 3 - A Word from the Utilities Manager: Philo Shelton examines the risks DPU faces from drought, water needs, and the threat of wildfires.

Page 12 - Safety Employee of the Quarter: Josh Rodriguez was recognized with this quarterly honor.

Page 15 - Electric Reliability: A view of DPU's CAIDI has been added to this page. The SAIDI gives the average amount of time that any single customer of DPU experienced a power outage in the past year. In other words, it averages outage minutes over all electric customers. The CAIDI shows the average amount of outage time for only those customers who were truly impacted by outages. Both measures include major events, and neither measure includes outages caused by transmission issues outside of our distribution system.

Page 21 - Electric Production: Deputy Utility Manager Ben Olbrich provides updates on a number of initiatives, including Foxtail Flats, PNM's Public Safety Power Shutoff program, and removal of battery storage modules from a site near the Los Alamos Eco Station.

Page 31 - Engineering: Deputy Utility Manager James Alarid's overview includes updates on many projects and operational moments. Worth noting is that the Bayo Non-Potable Water Tank project was recognized  by the Associated General Contractors of New Mexico with a 2025 Best Building Award.

Page 49 - Finance and Administration: Newly promoted Deputy Utility Manager Joann Gentry provides her first quarterly report overview!

Pages 65-76 - Staffing News and the Good Stuff: We always appreciate your interest in our team, their successes, and the kind words received from our customers.
