Title

Presentation and Possible Approval of the Relocation of One of the White Rock Pots

Recommended Action

I move that APP recommends to Council the relocation of the Prehistoric Cookware replica Pot, one of the six pieces in the San Ildefonso “White Rock Pottery Project”, from its current location to _____________.

Body

As part of the NM4 Crossing and Multi-Use Trail Improvement Project, the trail along the south side of NM4 will need to be realigned.  As a result, the large black and white pot, a replica of prehistoric cookware from the “White Rock Pottery Project” requires relocation.  In November of 2015, ten San Ildefonso artists painted six large pottery replicas to showcase pottery from different time periods.  The five pots and one plate were installed throughout White Rock in February 2016. Keith Wilson, Deputy Public Works Director, will explain the project and provide details regarding the relocation of the pot.
