Presentation on Recent Regional Internet Outage

At the request of Chair Ryti, County staff from Emergency Management, Police Dispatch, Information Management, and Broadband will discuss the regional internet outage on September 24, 2026. Staff will discuss what we have heard about the Lumen fiber optic line that serves Los Alamos County that was compromised, 911 services being transferred, Emergency Management actions, how Atomic Fiber aims to help with future outages and improvements to County procedures.
