Presentation and Possible Approval of the FY26 Snow & Ice Control Plan

Los Alamos County Code Article XI - Transportation Board, Section 8-283 outlines the Transportation Board's duties and responsibilities and includes as item (3), "Review and provide input to council on any recommended changes to the snow and ice control plan."
The FY26 Snow & Ice Control Plan should be considered an emergency response plan that is a living document. Storms are variable; therefore, the snow and ice control plan is not policy and allows for real time decisions and changes to be made in the field based on actual conditions.
The success of the FY26 Snow & Ice Control Plan should be evaluated in the spring of 2026.
