Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Amendment No. AGR25-963-A1 to Agreement No. AGR25-963 with Stryker Sales, LLC, increasing the contract not-to-exceed amount to $804,173.33, plus applicable Gross Receipts Tax, for the purchase of six (6) additional LifePak 35 cardiac monitors, including software and maintenance, for a term of up to seven (7) years.

The Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) requests approval of a contract amendment to Agreement No. AGR25-963 with Stryker Sales, LLC to allow for the purchase of six (6) additional LifePak 35 cardiac monitors, including associated software and maintenance. These devices are essential to delivering advanced life support and emergency medical services (EMS) to the community.
The original agreement was approved with a not-to-exceed amount of $389,398.77, which allowed LAFD to purchase six (6) LifePak 35 cardiac monitors that were placed into service in December 2025. This amendment increases the contract by $414,774.56 to support the purchase of an additional six (6) units. Approval of this amendment will bring the total contract not-to-exceed amount to $804,173.33, plus applicable Gross Receipts Tax.
LAFD previously established an annual cardiac monitor replacement plan; however, replacement efforts fell behind in recent years due to supply chain disruptions and significant increases in equipment costs.
