Approval of Services Agreement No. AGR24-39a with Transmission & Distribution Services, LLC in an Amount Not to Exceed $7,000,000.00 Over Seven Years; AGR24-39b with SGS LLC, in an Amount Not to Exceed $7,000,000.00 Over Seven Years for On-Call Utilities Construction Services
Recommended Action
I move that Council approve these on-call utilities construction services contracts in the following amounts, plus applicable gross receipts tax: AGR24-39a with Transmission & Distribution Services LLC., in an amount not to exceed $7,000,000.00 over seven years; and AGR24-39b with SGS LLC., in an amount not to exceed $7,000,000.00 over seven years.
Utilities Manager's Recommendation
The Utilities Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Board, Commission or Committee Recommendation
The Board of Public Utilities approved this request at their regular session on February 21, 2024 and recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Body
Work/Services may include, but not be limited to, tasks from Electric Distribution such as design of electric distribution systems, SCADA design and installation, system analysis, troubleshooting and technical assistance. Additional Task Orders may be initiated by the Department of Public Utilities Gas, Water and Sewer Division or other departments within the County for gas, water and sewer SCADA, pump control design, installation and troubleshooting and fiber optic systems.
Alternatives
If the agreements are not approved, the Department of Public Utilities will have to bid and contract all projects individually.
Fiscal and Staff Impact
All projects are within budget authority, unless declared an emergency.
