Body

Los Alamos County is supporting the replacement of petroleum-fueled motor vehicles with all-electric vehicles by purchasing, installing, and operating six (6) Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Units to be placed at the Los Alamos Municipal Building parking lot as illustrated in Attachment C. To this end, this item is seeking approval of an amendment to AGR22-931a,b,c (Attachment B).  The original agreement is shown in Attachment A. The amendment which adds the six Level 2 EV Charging Units adds $176,766.04 to the original compensation amount of $119,008.25 resulting in a new total compensation not to exceed $295,774.29 plus applicable gross receipts tax.

Alternatives

Council could recommend that staff initiate a new and separate agreement instead of amending the current agreement.

Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item

The funding for the project is available through Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Process. Funds were allocated to the Sustainability Office.
