Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Implementation

This briefing describes the efforts of staff to identify, evaluate and develop new generation resources for the Los Alamos Power Pool, in consideration of the generation needs and preferred portfolio identified by the 2022 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). This October 7, 2026, update continues to move the focus away from implementing the 2022 IRP, and towards preparing for the resource requirements imposed by the coming October 7, 2027, participation in the Extended Day Ahead Market (EDAM).
