Board/Commission Appointment(s) - Los Alamos County Health Council
Recommended Action
I move that Council nominate and appoint Rebecca White and Trevor Abeyta to the Los Alamos County Health Council for a term beginning on March 3, 2026 and ending on March 3, 2028.
Body
Currently, there are four (4) vacancies on the Los Alamos Health Council. The purpose of this item is to fill two (2) of those vacancies and the two applicants are:
Rebecca White [R]
Trevor Abeyta [D].
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote. The current Council members' and applicants' party affiliations have been verified with the Clerk's Office.
This fifteen (15) member board has two-year terms. It is currently composed as follows and as shown in Attachment A:

Appointing the nominees will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
