Discussion and Possible Approval of the 2026 Board of Public Utilities Meeting Calendar
Recommended Action
I move the Board of Public Utilities approve the proposed board meeting calendar for 2026 as presented (or as amended).
Utilities Manager Recommendation
The Utilities Manager recommends that the Board of Public Utilities approve the proposed BPU Meeting Calendar for 2026 as presented.
Body
In accordance with Incorporated County of Los Alamos Resolution regarding Open Meetings, notice of regular meetings of all county boards, commissions and policymaking bodies shall be given ten days in advance of the meeting date. "Each County board, commission and policymaking body may adopt a schedule of its regular meetings for the present calendar year or the balance thereof." This BPU meeting calendar includes regular meetings, work sessions, and special sessions. Normally work sessions are held on the first Wednesday and regular sessions are held on the third Wednesday of each month. Due to the holidays, it is proposed not to hold work sessions in January, July and December. County Council will adopt their schedule in January and staff will complete adding these meetings to the BPU calendar once published.
