Body
The draft ordinance (Attachment A), prohibiting engine brake/retarder use by motorists along a portion of NM 4 in White Rock, is being provided for review to the Transportation Board at the request of the Los Alamos County Council Chair, Randall Ryti to obtain input or provide any suggested revisions for Council consideration. Santa Fe County’s Engine Brake Ordinance (Attachment B) is attached for reference.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Items
Traffic & Streets Staff time and material costs for sign placement and maintenance. Costs would be absorbed through the Traffic & Streets Division operating budget.
