Member Matt Heavner's partial term will end on June 30, 2026. As this is a partial term, he is eligible to apply for a full first term. The current makeup of the Board is two Independents, two Republicans and one Democrat. A Los Alamos County board cannot have a super majority of any one party, and given that the Board does not have a simple majority of any one party, then applicants can be registered with any party.
