Sustainability Manager Updates

The ESB receives routine updates from the Sustainability Manager.
1. Launched the Sustainability Newsletter as an avenue to communicate with the community regarding environmental sustainability initiatives. The email performance is 36 subscribers (increased from 31). When asked “Do you use the Recycle Coach app?” There were 16 responses:
25% responded “Nope, never heard of it”
12.5% responded “No, but I plan on using it”
50% responded “Sometimes!”
12.5% responded “Yes, all the time!”
2. Grant Opportunities
a. The County submitted a grant application for Solid Waste Infrastructure and Recycling grant to develop a food composting program.
b. The County submitted a grant application for NMDOT EVSE Grant Program for EV Infrastructure for $1.5M.
3. EV Infrastructure
a. The County is working on deployment of 14 - Level 2 - EV Chargers to serve County Fleet and the public
b. The County is finalizing the task order to conduct a Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-wide EV Charging Plan
4. Education and Outreach
a. Developing scope of work for services.
b. ECAM - Incentives and Rebates - Sign Up Sessions at LAPS, LA County and Senior Centers
5. BRAIN Tour in Albuquerque on February 13, 2025 (leaving at 9am returning by 4pm)
a. Inviting 3 ESB Members to attend
