Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Contract for General Services, Agreement No. AGR24-65 with La Mesilla Arts LLC in the Amount Not To Exceed $324,753.00 over seven years if all term extensions are executed, for the purpose of management of the Step Up Art Gallery.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve this Contract for General Services as requested.
Body
The Los Alamos Arts Council decided not to renew the contract after June 30, 2024. A solicitation for services was issued in March 2024 for the operations of the Step Up Art Gallery at Mesa Public Library. A Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued in March 2024 and one proposal was received. Services include 8-10 art shows per year including call for artists, scheduling, marketing, and assistance with hanging and removing art.
Alternatives
Council could choose not to award this contract and provide direction on whether to re-solicit for services or amend the scope of the services.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Funds are budgeted and available for these services as part of the County approved FY2025 Budget. Library Division staff will monitor these contracts through the use of quarterly reports submitted by the agencies and monthly invoices.
