Recommended Action
I move that Council nominate and appoint Carly Blair and Jack Grow to fill two vacancies on the Environmental Sustainability Board for a term beginning on August 1, 2026 and ending on July 31, 2028.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill two (2) vacancies on the Environmental Sustainability Board. These vacancies represent expired partial terms forJack Grow and Carly Blair which ended on July 31, 2026. Both Jack Grow and Carly Blair are eligible for reappointment.
The following applicants are seeking reappointment for the first full term: Jack Grow [DTS] and Carly Blair [D].
The interviews were held on August 6, 2026, and the interview panel consisted of the following:
Council Liaison: Melanee Hand
Environmental Sustainability Board Chair: David Hampton
Environmental Sustainability Board Staff Liaison: Angelica Gurule, Sustainability Manager
The interview panel recommends reappointing both Carly Blair and Jack Grow to the Environmental Sustainability Board.
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote. Appointing any of the applicants will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
This seven member board has two year terms beginning August 1 and ending July 31, and the current ESB Member Roster is included as Attachment A.
