Body

WHEREAS, the United States of America’s Constitution ensures the liberties, freedoms, and rights of all Americas; and,

WHEREAS, September 17th, 2026, marks the two hundred thirty-ninth anniversary of the drafting of this singularly important document by the Constitutional Convention; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the Council for the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, I do hereby proclaim September 17th through 23rd, 2026 as

I call upon our citizens to reaffirm the ideals set forth by the Framers of the Constitution by protecting the freedoms it guarantees, remembering that lost rights may never be restored.

AND FURTHERMORE, I urge all citizens to study the Constitution and reflect on the privilege of being an American, with the rights and responsibilities that privilege entails.
