Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Task Order No. 35, Agreement No. AGR No. 22-18a with Ritecon Construction, Inc. in the amount of $338,619.65 and a contingency of $100,000.00, plus applicable gross receipts tax, for the purpose of the LAC Booster Stations Rehabilitation.

The Utilities Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Board, Commission or Committee Recommendation
The Board of Public Utilities reviewed this request at their work session on September 2, 2026 and recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Body
The project consists of rehabilitation improvements to the Otowi 2 and S-Site booster water production facilities. Improvements include repair or replacement of the existing roofing systems, replacement of exterior doors and windows, and repair and painting of affected interior and exterior building surfaces. Additional work includes improvements to site drainage, repairs to areas with existing water damage, and replacement of roof exhaust fans where required. These improvements are intended to address deterioration and weather-related damage and restore the facilities to good overall condition.
Alternatives
If Council elects not to award the project, DPU will continue to allocate staff resources to maintain and mitigate further degradation of the station, which is a less desirable means to keep the stations operational.
Fiscal and Staff Impact
Funds were budgeted in FY26 and will be carried over to FY27 to fund the project, no staff will be impacted.
