Recommended Action
I move that Council adopt Incorporated County of Los Alamos Resolution No. 25-10, As Amended, A Resolution Amending The Comprehensive Plan / Future Land Use Map To Change The Land Use Designation of Two Parcels, Known as Nc2 G And Nc2 H, By Transferring Approximately 18,735 ± Square Feet From “Open Space - Passive” To “Institutional"
County Manager’s Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council adopt Incorporated County of Los Alamos Resolution No. 25-10.
Body
Adoption of the attached Resolution No. 25-10, as amended, will approve an amendment to the Los Alamos County Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map (FLUM), expanding the designated Institutional land use area within the North Community 2 Subdivision by approximately 18,735 square feet. The amendment applies to two parcels located at 4401 Diamond Drive and 9999 Range Road, currently identified as NC2 G and NC2 H, for the Fire Station 4 replacement project.

Subsequent to the publication, the resolution was amended to correct a discrepancy identified by staff between the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommended square footage and the area depicted on the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) included in the resolution published on June 12, 2025. The amended resolution accurately reflects the recommended square footage on the FLUM.

NOTE: Council Action Required Before Resolution 25-10 Can Be Adopted
