Board/Commission Appointment - Art in Public Places Board
Recommended Action
I nominate Jennifer Armstrong and John Key to fill one vacancy on the Art in Public Places Board and move that Council appoint one to the vacant position as follows:
By roll call vote, Councilors vote for one nominee and the one with the highest vote total of four or more will be appointed to fill the term beginning on March 24, 2025 and ending on March 25, 2027.

The purpose of this item is to fill one (1) vacancy on the Art in Public Places Board. This vacancy represents a partial term vacated by Anna Buckthorpe who resigned on September 21, 2026.

The interviews were held on October 14, 2026 and the interview panel consisted of: Council Liaison: David Reagor; APP Board Chair: Tim Foley; and Staff Liaison: Chelsea Ashcraft, CSD Senior Management Analyst.
The interview panel recommends appointing Jennifer Armstrong to the Art in Public Places Board.
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote. Appointing any of these applicants will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions. These affiliations have been verified with the Clerk's Office.
This five (5) member board has two (2) year terms, and the current roster is listed as part of Attachment A.
