Title
Annual Self Evaluation of the Board of Public Utilities
Body
The board will begin the annual self-evaluation of its own performance as outlined in section 3.9 of the BPU Procedures Manual. The current self-evaluation follows the template taken from the APPA Handbook for Public Power Policymakers. Members Eric Stromberg and Jennifer Hollingsworth volunteered to serve on the self evaluation working group. They have reviewed the 2024 evaluation tool formatted and distributed using Polco Survey software. They made their recommendations on February 5, 2025 with suggested changes to the board. In preparation for this initial discussion, board members are asked to review the current format, along with the results from the 2024 self-evaluation. The board should also decide whom should complete the survey. In 2024, for the first time, the board chose to request responses from DPU senior management, the County Manager, and the Council Liaison. Approval of this year's Self Evaluation is scheduled for November 19, 2025 BPU meeting.
Ms. Casados, Executive Assistant contacted board members via email on September 4th and September 18 to solicit revisions or additional questions to the evaluation. Member Stromberg submitted the following:
