Discussion and Possible Action on Donation of Two Pieces of Artwork
Recommended Action
I move that Council accept the donation of "Summer in the Park" and "Sheltered Cottage" by Stephanie West.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve the item as requested.
Body
The County Council recently received an email from Stephanie West (shown in Attachment A). In this email, Ms. West described a situation that occurred at Fuller Lodge. She indicated that the Police and Fire Department responded quickly. In appreciation of the Police and Fire Department and with gratitude for the assistance provided, Ms. West would like to donate two of her paintings as shown in Attachments B and C. Ms. West indicated that her preference would be to have the paintings hung in the Police and Fire Department offices.
Alternatives
Council could not accept the donation and/or ask for the Art in Public Places Board to evaluate this donation.

There is minimal fiscal and staff impact if this donation was accepted.
