Body
The Board of Public Utilities and the County Council approved Ordinance No. 02-365 Electric Rate Schedule on April 16, 2025, and June 10, 2025, respectively. The ordinance includes Time of Use and Residential Demand rates, which will take effect no sooner than July 1, 2026.
Alternatives
If the amendment to this service agreement were rejected, the Department of Public Utilities would be unable to implement Time-of-Use or Residential Demand rates and the alternate 8% rate increase would go into effect.
Fiscal and Staff Impact
The project is within the budget and no additional staff is required to implement the project.
