Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Agreement No. AGR26-88 with Vetro, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $423,258.00, plus applicable Gross Receipts Tax, for the purpose of asset management and tracking and tracing of County fiber for a term of up to seven years.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve this Contract for General Services as requested.
Body
The County's previous fiber tracking and tracing software contract is expiring. Information Management evaluated proposals through an RFP process for a new asset management software system to meet the additional needs of the Bonfire Community Broadband fiber project. GIS doesn't have the current capability to do the strand-level connectivity and route tracing alone without this additional software solution. This software adds the necessary capabilities to meet the new extended needs. The total not to exceed amount of $423,258, plus applicable Gross Recepts Tax, is in anticipation of up to seven years of one-year annual renewals beginning September 30, 2026 through 2033.
Alternatives
Utilizing other asset management software that does not meet the needs of Los Alamos County nor those of the Bonfire Community Broadband Network project.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Funds for Asset Management Software contract are in the Information Management FY27 budget adopted by County Council.
