Recommended Action
I move that Council introduce Incorporated County of Los Alamos Ordinance No. 764; An Ordinance Adopting A Metropolitan Redevelopment Act Project For Public Support Of Pig and Fig Bakery and Café, LLP, Qualified To Conduct Business In The State Of New Mexico, and ask staff to assure that it is published as provided in the County Charter.

The purpose of this item is to introduce Ordinance No. 764; An Ordinance Adopting a Metropolitan Redevelopment Act project for public support of Pig and Fig Bakery and Café.
An initial MRA application was submitted by Pig & Fig on July 1, 2026. Since receiving the application, County staff has worked collaboratively with the applicant to clarify the project scope, eligible redevelopment costs, proposed public financial participation, and performance commitments and to develop the proposed MRA Development Agreement.
The project is located at 11 Sherwood Blvd. in White Rock, within the White Rock Metropolitan Redevelopment Area. Pig & Fig proposes to renovate and activate an underutilized portion of its existing commercial space, allowing the business to expand the services it provides to the community and make more productive use of the existing property. The estimated construction cost of the proposed improvements is $106,000.
