Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Budget Revision 2026-42 and include Attachment A as part of minutes of this meeting.

Body
Los Alamos County was selected by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) to receive $435,388 in grant funding to construct two Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) stations at the Mesa Public Library. Budget revision No. 2026-42 (Attachment A) is required to show the revenue from the grant and increase the expenditure authority by the grant amount.
Alternatives
Council could choose not to approve the budget revision and the grant funds would not be available for project expenses. In addition, any delays will result in a delay in the implementation of measures to reduce the County’s Greenhouse Gas emissions.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
The $435,388 NMDOT grant will be applied to the project funds already in Sustainability budget. This project is a programmed initiative identified in the Climate Action Plan, and no significant impacts to staff availability are anticipated.
