Proclamation declaring the Month of September as "Arts & Culture Month" in Los Alamos County (accepted by Marlane Hamilton, for the Arts Council)

WHEREAS: The arts and cultural organizations have been a vital part of life and recreation in the Los Alamos community, enhancing our quality of life; and
WHEREAS: The artistic and cultural season in Los Alamos traditionally begins in the month of September; and
WHEREAS: Los Alamos continues to have a multitude of thriving arts organizations providing enrichment in the visual and performing arts;
NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the Council of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, I do hereby proclaim the Month of September as
“ARTS & CULTURE MONTH”
in Los Alamos County, and call upon all citizens to continue to support the outstanding programs and events that the arts organizations bring to our community.
