Board/Commission Appointment - Environmental Sustainability Board
Recommended Action
I nominate Jessie Emerson to fill one partial term vacancy, on the Environmental Sustainability Board the term began on August 1, 2020 and will end July 31, 2022.
Body
The Environmental Sustainability Board is a seven member board with staggered two-year terms beginning August 1 and ending July 31. A copy of the current Board Member list is attached for reference (Attachment A). The vacancy is a result of the resignation by one ESB member (Brendon Parsons).
The nominees party affiliation has been verified with the Clerk's Office.
Jessie Emerson [D] was interviewed by an interview committee November 4, 2021. The interview committee recommends appointing the applicant.

Council Liaison: Sean Williams
ESB Staff Liaison: Angelica Gurule
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.
Appointing the applicants will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
