Approval of Memorandum of Understanding under the Regional Strategic Fund with the City of Espanola
Recommended Action
I move that Council approve the Memorandum of Understanding MOU #26-875 with the City of Espanola.

Body
In 2022, the Los Alamos County Council and the City of Espanola Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form the Regional Strategic Partnership (RSP), from which a Regional Strategic Partnership fund (RSPF). This fund was created and maintained by the County to support regional projects designed and implemented by the its two partners--City of Espanola and Rio Arriba County. The termination date of the Memorandum of Understanding was November 2025.
A new MOU is necessary to continue the partnership and projects under the Memorandum of Understanding. The new MOU #36-875 is shown in Attachment A. If approved, this MOU would terminate in March of 2036.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
The RSPF receives recurring funding in the annual budget. No additional funding is anticipated. There is minimal staff impact.
